good morning, dear friends! did you have a good weekend?

mine included a trip to a far away recycling center (if you can believe it, the one in our county burned down last month, so we had to drive 45 minutes to the next closest one! oh, to live in georgia...), a trip to ikea for some studio shelves (my studio looks so nice and tidy now!), a 20 minute pool-lounging break in the 95 degree heat, some pattern making, an indie fixx post writing, a nice, long walk with ryan, and bits of work tossed in.

anway, this post is about jonathan trotter, whose ceramic work is a.maz.ing. don't you love all the gorgeous textures and surfaces? i just want to hold these pieces in my hands so i can examine every nook and cranny. i love them so.

a bit about jonathan's work in his own words:

"preserving english tradition is an important concept throughout my work. using ceramics, contemporary processes and materials i create objects which celebrate british society and domestic wares. i reinvent familiar domestic objects into contemporary pieces which echo traditional values through their forms."
