(looking south on my street...4th street)
(a view up the hill from the corner outside my house)
(the next street down the hill from me; feels like "where the sidewalk ends" to me...)i love my neighborhood when it snows. i went out for a walk this morning and was blown away by the beauty. the sky was this perfect deep blue, and all around me the white snow was so pristine and quiet... i love walking in the snow.
i had my family over for a little feast last night. here is what i made. lentil salad, tomato-cranberry chutney, cashew-peanut balls, white bean-rosemary dip, baked tomato eggs, green healthy coleslaw, date truffles, and chocolate pudding. it was absolutely delicious! (and healthy!) it was a lovely night.
it's not really a seashell marshmallow chandalier... that's just what it looks like to me! as seen on design milk...
the snow is officially coming down here in boulder this morning, and i'm having a craving to pull out the bin of yarn and start knitting some leg warmers. perhaps pink...? since i seem to be obsessed with the color these days. i was a non-pink kind of girl up until about 2 years ago, when all of a sudden everything started having to be pink. it's a mystery...
i want this adorable little ornament on my tree so badly, i can't even describe it. swedish graphic designer/illustrator/book binder cecelia levy made it- check out more of her work here.

this lovely jewelry is from a shop called modamuse in australia. the designers are from australia and new zealand, and there's some really wonderful stuff to be had. {felted necklace by dani m designs, vintage button bracelet by pinching pelargoniums, blue dot necklace by lara cameron)
(via karin's style blog)
the stack of books next to my desk is getting bigger and bigger..... the images in this one are absolutely GORGEOUS.

i can't resist a good necklace. which means i'm going to have to get my hands on one of these from small things... they're gorgeous!
i am loving these drawings by ashleyg. check out her shop and all her work here.
what a great book this is. i'm so inspired by decorative patterns, and this book is a wealth of ideas. my favorite is this peacock...

ok, so i've recently become enthralled with etsy. so much great stuff to check out and discover!!
these adorable little prints by emily martin of the black apple are just too cute to pass up. in a great frame, these would make a sweet little addition to a wall in need of some love. she also has a great blog going which you can check out right here.
i'm going to order some! one of these days i have to open my own etsy shop...

thanks to design*sponge and her amazing finds, i now know that this incredible potter exists in the world! ayumi is based in rosendale, ny, and i am drooling over her work... oh, to have that cookie jar in my house... check out her website and buy some of her fabulous wares right here.

i love finding new artists to admire. i came across jennifer davis' work tonight on the beholderwebsite, which is an online art gallery of emerging artists from across the nation. pretty darn cool stuff to check out! i just may submit my own work....
