animation

for some reason this morning i've been thinking about learning how to make animations.

i really want to create an animated wedding invitation, which was inspired by this post by red prairie press' DIY wedding animation, and i was immediately sold on the idea. you can watch it right here. (the image below is their DVD.)

and i really like the beginning of this animation by mamawedding-- i don't want mine to be full of photographs (I want the whole thing to actually be animated from my drawings), but i think the beginning is just lovely.



i guess i better learn flash, eh?

and the image below is a still from a video created by some 6th graders in troy, NY-- it's not a wedding animation, but i thought it was pretty hilarious and definitely worth watching. if you need some convincing to click through to the link, the animation includes a volcano spewing money out the top and kids talking about tax collectors. brilliant.
