argh, repeating patterns!
ok, so i am trying to teach myself how to create repeating patterns, and it is not as easy as i'd anticipated! here is one attempt... it looks alright, but when i make it repeat, it's a little screwy.
does anyone have any advice or brilliant tips for how to create seamless patterns? i'm about to go plop myself on the couch with a book on the subject... yay for sundays! it's windy here in georgia; the perfect kind of day to cuddle up, drink tea, and read a book. :)

hello! i just looked up screen printing as an interest to find other bloggers, and there you were.
i teach screenprinting, and the easiest - and by far the fastest - way to work out a repeat that i have found is from a book called 'surface pattern design' by v. ann waterman, specifically the 'cut and tape method' on page 33...pretty useful book overall.
where did you get it?? i've been looking for the book for ages, it was swiped from the library at school, and i can't find it here in canada...amazon.com won't let me ship used books to a canadian address!
I'm trying to learn the same thing. I'd love tips on this. But I do my patterns by hand then scan them in to Illustrator. I wonder if its a different process.
