ON THE TWELFTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Today is the last day of the 12 days of Christmas here on my blog and website. I hope you've enjoyed it! ON THE ELEVENTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS...

It's Christmas Eve! I've always loved Christmas Eve. We always used to go to my grandparents' house to have dinner and open presents, and it was one of the best parts of Christmas. This year I'll be with my husband's family on Christmas Eve, which will be nice as well.

So in honor of holiday family dinners, I have some cute downloadable place cards that you can print out and use on your holiday table! Just click here to go to the download page. You can write the names in the white space, and then fold them in half to make little table-tent-like place cards.

ON THE THIRD DAY OF CHRISTMAS...

On this 3rd day of Christmas celebration, I'm focusing on giving of a different kind. Sisters of the Road is an amazing organization in Portland, Oregon which "exists to build authentic relationships and alleviate the hunger of isolation in an atmosphere of nonviolence and gentle personalism that nurtures the whole individual, while seeking systemic solutions that reach the roots of homelessness and poverty to end them forever." They run a nonprofit café which serves low-cost and nutritious meals that can be purchased in a variety of ways, including cash, food stamps, and exchange for work. I'm happy to say that I donated a small amount of money to them earlier this year, but I'd love to do more. Today I will donate 25% of all sales to this beautiful organization.

So, if you choose to purchase something from me today, you can feel good knowing that you are helping to feed someone a hot meal in this most sacred time of year. And I will thank you very much for your support and your generosity.

SPRING: we need your input on our next video!

Michelle, Jess, and Carolyn,and I are busy getting ready to tape our next episode of Spring, and we are so excited! The response to our first videos has been fantastic, and we can't wait to continue our conversation with you all.

So, our topic for January is INTENTION. And also resolutions. I don't particularly like resolutions, as I feel they are quite negative by nature, and I prefer to instead set intentions for myself. But what about YOU?WE want to hear what you have to say on this subject.

12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS (12 days of giving!)

Good morning and happy Monday! Today is officially 12 days before Christmas, and while the 12 Days of Christmas were traditionally celebrated beginning on Christmas and going through January 5th, I thought it would be fun to celebrate these 12 days of Christmas leading up to the big day!

So, for the next 12 days here on my blog, there will be something for you, from free downloadable goodies and sales in my etsy shop to donations to charities and free shipping. Every day will be different!

I have a few things to share with you today, so I figured I'd give them all in one shebang. Ready?

I'm participating in a lovely little market at Mama, the most lovely-smelling shop, here in Atlanta (well, Decatur, which is very close by) this Saturday, December 12th. I *highly* recommend stopping by if you are in this neck of the woods- the Mama Bath + Body store smells so delicious, and her soap and goods are so terrific, I'm almost more excited to get to spend the day there than to be selling my work there. It's that good!

Blissful Monday: week 5

Good morning, my friends!

Here we are on Monday again-- let's make this a good week, what do you say?

I skipped my Bliss List last week, so I'll make this one extra good. :) The time since Thanksgiving has been quite nice around our house, so there's much to be grateful for:

1. 3 days away in Asheville, NC with my husband was the BEST. We stayed in a gorgeous house in the mountains, built fires in the evenings, snuggled up in the cool weather, slept later than we normally do, and had fun exploring a new city.

{That's us at an amazing waterfall in Highlands, NC-- definitely worth seeing if you're in the area!}

2. My Cyber Monday Sale in my etsy shop was a huge success!

3. To celebrate the success of my sale, I finally bought my dream boots. They are supposed to arrive today (I ordered them from Piperlime), and I'm practically jumping up and down I'm so excited! Now, I am not a shopper, and I hardly ever spend money on clothes or shoes or anything, so this was a big deal.

4. We put up our Christmas tree! Tonight we are going to watch The Grinch (the Dr. Seuss version, of course,) which is one of my favorite parts of Christmas.


5. Spring was launched, after months of talk between Michelle, Carolyn, Jess LC, and me. The response has been beyond what we'd hoped for for our first episode, and I'm so grateful and excited to be part of this project with these inspiring women!


6. Pumpkin pie. Need I say more?

SPRING: our very first video post about GRATITUDE

I'm very excited this morning to announce that our first episode of Spring: inspiration in bloom, which I introduced here a few weeks ago, is up on our website and ready to watch!

We had so much fun recording the video (despite some technical challenges which we will be improving as we go)-- hopefully the conversation and gratitude will shine through it all!

Good morning and Happy December! Wow, can you believe it's December? I'm a little bit in shock. This year for Christmas, my hubby and I are going to San Diego and Los Angeles, where his my brother and sister in law are having a baby! This will be the first baby in either of our families, so it's very exciting. And while I'm looking very forward to being in California, I'm also longing for a wintery Christmas, full of hot tea, fires, and lots of snow.
