diy idea: suspended jars

i just absolutely fell in love with this idea. those suspended jars are clever, no?
i want to run to ikea and get a shelf and some jars and make one for my studio right away! i see those jars full of paper clips, thumb tacks, beads......

according to abby (dharma lemon flickr photostream), all she did was screw the lids to the underside of the shelf, and voila! suspended jars.

genius, in my opinion. this one's going straight to the files for house inspiration. ryan and i are hopefully going to be buying a house this summer, so this will come in handy for sure.

i also liked this image from abby's photostream-- an inspiration mobile! clever again! my my, lady, i am impressed. great ideas!!

i am giggling....when i was little, my grandfather had that
set up in my woodworking shop. i can still smell the sawdust, i dig that smell. hehad baby food jars, lids nailed into a board and you just unscrewed the jars. he had this system set up under his shelving. pretty ingenious - huh!
how are you?
